O' Canada - What is traditionally regarded as the beginning
of a proud National Anthem takes on a completely different meaning
when contacting most U.S. credit card processing companies. That's
because O' Canada usually means "Oh, Canada - I'm sorry but
we don't do Canadian businesses!"
We have a completely different response here at Credit Card Processing
Services. If you own a mail order, home-based or Internet based
business in Canada then we can readily and quickly setup your Canadian
business with a U.S. merchant account. However, we are unable to
provide a merchant account for brick and mortar retail swiped merchants
as there are still some archaic restrictions in place.

through a contractual relationship with PayNet Merchant Services,
Inc., an agent of Harris Bank, Chicago, IL, (which is a subsidiary
of the Bank of Montreal). The only requirement that we need is for
your Canadian business to maintain a business checking account at
any U.S. bank. If you don't already have a U.S. bank account then
we would be happy to assist you in opening a U.S. bank account at
Harris Bank, if you desire. There is no need to incorporate in the
U.S. and you will not be responsible for U.S. income tax.

There are a few basic conditions you must meet in
order for us to get your account approved:
- You must have a good personal credit history as reported on
a credit check
- Your business must be legal and fully licensed (where necessary)
in Canada.
- No adult oriented, gambling, telemarketing, credit repair, or
travel related businesses. In other words, low risk products or
services!
- You need to have a U.S. bank account. We will be happy to assist
you, if needed.
Here are a few important items that merchants usually ask us about:
- Cardholders will be billed in U.S. Dollars and merchants will
be credited in U.S. Dollars.
- The $75.00 application fee must be paid at the time of application
and is non-refundable. If you have a legitimate low risk product
or service and you have good personal credit then we are confident
that your merchant account will be approved.
- You will pay for the Authorize.Net setup fee once your merchant
account is approved.
- Funds are normally deposited to your bank on the second business
day.
- The discount rate is charged on net sales.
- The vast majority of merchant accounts can be fully setup within
a week.
- You will be fully supported with any questions that may arise
via a toll-free number that can be dialed from either Canada or
the United States.
